About The Client

Corevalt Packaging

A B2B custom packaging manufacturer serving DTC brands and mid-market ecommerce with corrugated boxes, mailers, and sustainable materials. Strong quote conversion once buyers landed - the problem was that AI engines rarely put them on the shortlist.

The Challenge

Product pages read like a print catalog, MOQs and lead times weren't extractable, and citations lived on the brand's own domain. AI engines defaulted to Uline, Packlane, and 'top 10 custom box' listicles.

Our Approach

The Strategy

STEP 01

Baselined procurement-intent prompts

Tracked 25 prompts (custom mailer suppliers, low-MOQ box runs, sustainable / recyclable material comparisons, packaging suppliers for DTC brands) across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews.

STEP 02

Rebuilt the brand entity

Cleaned Wikidata, Crunchbase, and 11 packaging / manufacturing directories with consistent MOQ ranges, material capabilities, and certifications (FSC, SFI, recyclable claims).

STEP 03

Rewrote product + capability pages for extraction

Restructured 24 product and capability pages with definitional openings, MOQ / lead-time tables, and Product + Service + FAQPage schema so engines could quote thresholds verbatim.

STEP 04

Placed citations in packaging + DTC media

Earned inclusion in 5 packaging-industry roundups and 3 DTC operator publications that AI engines were repeatedly citing.

MOQ and lead-time claims had to be defensible before I could publish them.

First pass at extractable MOQ tables was blocked by operations because worst-case lead times weren't survivable. I rebuilt every table with 'typical' and 'rush' ranges signed off by ops, added a last-updated field, and got the schema live without misleading a single buyer.

We used to win packaging RFPs from a referral or a Google search. Now a real chunk of our first-touch quotes come from buyers who read a ChatGPT answer naming us.
