Local SEO for a Plumbing Services Company
Plumbing services local SEO case study: rebuilt a WordPress plumbing company's local presence around emergency + service-area intent to grow booked jobs.
Copperline Plumbing
A Dallas based plumbing services company on WordPress covering nine suburbs. Strong field operation, but losing emergency and same-day work to franchise brands with much larger digital footprints.

The Challenge
Service pages were thin, service-area pages did not exist for most suburbs served, and the GBP was not optimised for the emergency queries that convert into same-day dispatch.
Copperline Plumbing
Losing every emergency query in the metro to the same three franchise brands.
The Strategy
Rewrote service pages around real jobs
Replaced generic copy with the specific jobs the crew handled (burst pipe, water heater failure, slab leak, sewer line backup) priced transparently and paired with real photos.
Built service-area pages per suburb
Shipped a WordPress template that generated genuine per-suburb pages with jobs completed, average response time, and permit familiarity per city.
Rebuilt the GBP for emergency intent
Optimised categories, services, and weekly posts for emergency and same-day queries, and set up a review request that fired 90 minutes after every completed job.
Fixed the after-hours answering flow
Set up call tracking, tightened the after-hours coverage so calls stopped going to voicemail, and cut the dispatch delay for emergency calls.

The best-ranking emergency page briefly ran calls into voicemail.
As soon as the emergency page ranked, after-hours volume spiked and roughly a quarter of calls hit voicemail because the answering flow was not sized for it. I paused the SEO push, moved after-hours coverage to a live dispatcher, and only then reopened the campaign - once a caller could always reach a human.
The trucks are booked deep, and for the first time in years we are turning down work we do not want instead of chasing work we do not have.
