Local SEO for a Residential Plumbing Company
Residential plumbing local SEO case study: rebuilt a WordPress plumbing company's local presence around service-area + emergency intent to grow booked jobs.
Copperline Plumbing
A Sacramento based residential plumbing company on WordPress covering seven ZIPs across the metro. Strong technician bench, weak local presence for the emergency + service-area queries their buyers ran.

The Challenge
The site had one generic services page, no per-ZIP service-area content, an under-optimised GBP with old hours, and no review workflow after a completed job.
Copperline Plumbing
Great technicians, invisible in the map pack for the ZIPs the trucks actually served.
The Strategy
Rebuilt GBP and cleaned up local citations
Fixed name, address, phone, hours, and service radius across the 42 citations that mattered, then rewrote the GBP description around the actual emergency services offered and added weekly service posts.
Shipped a service x ZIP page set
Built dedicated pages per core service (leak repair, water heater, drain, repipe) crossed with each covered ZIP, so each combination got a real page with local trust signals and a phone-first CTA.
Automated post-job review requests
Wired the field-service dispatcher into an SMS review request that fired 45 minutes after invoice, with a clean fallback path so unhappy customers reached the owner first.
Cut the booking path to one screen
Replaced the multi-step estimate form with a single 'call now or book a slot' widget pinned to every service page, and set up call-tracking per service to prove the map pack was driving revenue.

One suspended review nearly killed the star rating.
A dispute with an unhappy customer led to a public 1-star review that pushed the average from 4.7 to 4.4 in a week. I built a proper owner-response playbook, doubled down on post-job review velocity, and the average recovered to 4.8 inside two months without deleting the review.
The phones ring different now. Half our new jobs come from Google before anyone even reads our name properly.
